Senior Electronic Gaming Security Specialist

General summary

This is a second-level professional electronic gaming security position accountable for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of electronic gaming devices, casino computer systems, and associated hardware components and software programs in an assigned geographical area of the state. Employees in this class will conduct on-site monitoring and inspections and perform data analytics on malfunctioning devices. Will also participate in establishing rules, policies, and procedures governing electronic gaming devices, casino computer systems, and related hardware and software compliance. Reviews technical incident reports and provides direction for finalizing reports.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

In addition to those identified in the previous level: Ability to understand and apply statistical analysis techniques to electronic gaming devices and casino computer systems. Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations for rules, regulations, technical standards, and internal policies and procedures. Ability to facilitate training of staff and other stakeholders. Ability to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in the performance of duties. Ability to testify as an expert witness.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of related experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
