This is a second-level professional position responsible for environmental health work that requires analysis and judgment under the guidance or within the framework of defined policies or varied procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action. Employees apply professional and technical knowledge to undertake analysis and interpretation of information and data. Employees are responsible for short to medium term objectives and outcomes, and work under the general guidance and advice of their supervisor or a more senior staff member. Employees are contributing team members and present recommendations and build on the ideas of others within and outside of their discipline.
In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of the principles, practices, and terminology of environmental public health. Ability to comprehend and interpret environmental public health regulations, requirements, and policies.
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
