General summary

This is a supervisory position responsible for the overall management of an assigned unit. Employees coordinate the direct treatment for a group of youth committed or assigned to the facility. Employees in this class also direct all the activities involved in the daily operation of a living unit, including safety and security (e.g., delegation of case management responsibilities, coordination of youth appointments, point of contact for families and various other professionals). Employees at this level also conduct risk needs assessments, provide input into case plans, monitor progress and make recommendations, facilitate treatment groups, and co-facilitate therapy groups.

In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Ability to supervise staff and youth.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of youth treatment experience and/or relevant certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
