This is a second-level direct care position which may function as a lead worker. Accountable for assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks. Assists in checking vital signs, height, and weight as assigned; collects and maintains records of fluid intake and output; reports on the condition of clients; and participates in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. May be accountable for preparing, administering, and charting medication under the direction of a professional nurse, as a Certified Medication Technician. May perform some security-related functions in a mental health care setting. May function as a Restorative Nursing Assistant.
In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of elementary behavior modification techniques, medical terminology, and drug classifications. Ability to prepare and maintain records, charts, and reports.
1-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
