Behavioral Technician

General summary

This is a vocational position responsible for collecting data by observing client behavior and/or administering standardized intelligence and/or personality tests.  Employees at this level enter observational data into assessment systems for summarization and analysis, participate in reliability and coding checks, interview clients, and prepare summaries of test results. 

Knowledge, skills & abilities

Knowledge of various types of intelligence and personality tests and assessments, the testing procedures used, and treatment theories relating to clients with behavioral problems.  Ability to complete a basic course of instruction in behavioral observation and testing, and accurately report and record observations.

Typical qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
