This is a seasoned managerial position responsible for the general management of statewide programs and for the supervision of those directly managing each program. At this level, employees are responsible for setting and controlling a budget; supervising policy development for an agency or programs; and establishing means for revising or changing State and/or National laws.
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of principles and practices of effective administration. Knowledge of fiscal management practices. Knowledge of administrative rules and regulations governing applicable state programs. Skill in budget and policy development. Ability to manage change and staff resources.
Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of relevant experience, and 2-4 years of supervisory experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
