Companies looking to hire local, diverse, and qualified undergraduate students in humanities and social sciences.
What is on the program for the internship fair?
The fair will begin with a networking/refreshment session, followed by brief remarks from Tamara Falicov, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and a UMKC alumnus who will describe their internship experience. Students will then engage with employers at designated tables in sessions that change every seven minutes, speed-dating style.
Registration includes:
A table with tablecloth, chairs, light refreshments, and parking for up to three representatives.
Because this is a meeting-style fair, rather than a line of booths, please bring promotional materials that will not obstruct the view for representatives and students seated at the table.
Dress code: Employers are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear company-branded apparel. Students are encouraged to dress professionally, but there is no dress code for this event.
When will the registration be approved?
Because there are a limited number of spots available, we want to ensure we have a good mix of opportunities for students from all departments. Therefore we will be reviewing and approving registrations in mid-January.
