Employer Pre-Virtual Career Fair Workshop
Haven't attended a virtual fair on Handshake? Or need a Handshake refresher? Join the UMKC career services team via Zoom on Tuesday, February 1 from 12pm - 1pm (CST) for a pre-virtual career fair workshop. Agenda will include:
- An overview of the Handshake platform
- How to create your virtual fair schedule
- Ways to promote your attendance to students
- Best practices for post-virtual career fair follow-up
No RSVP necessary; Zoom info will be sent via email to all registrants 24 hours prior.

- Companies and organizations from various departments of local, state, and federal government, public health and safety, social justice, and non-profits
- Current UMKC undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in government, non-profit, social justice, equity and inclusion, public safety, or a related field
- UMKC alumni working or interested in government, non-profit, or civic organizations
How to register for virtual career fair on Handshake:
- Submit company's registration for approval.
- Once approved, receive invoice for registration fee.
- Create your virtual fair schedule including 1:1 appointments and group sessions.
- Promote career fair on company website and social media (optional)
