This is a seasoned, non-commissioned investigator position which may be accountable for leading and overseeing activities of professional non-commissioned investigators from agency or other law enforcement entities in complex investigations. The activities required for these investigations are larger in number, of a wider diversity, or in a specialized area. Additional duties include providing testimony in court or at hearings.
In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of sources of information to be utilized in obtaining evidence and documentation, and the principles of identification, preservation, and presentation of evidence. Knowledge of criminal activity and administrative/regulatory violations.
Bachelor’s degree, 2 or more years of relevant experience, and relevant certification/licensure.
