Senior Appraisal and Assessment Representative

General summary

This is a second-level professional position responsible for appraising a wide variety of properties to determine market value, or provide intermediate technical assistance and guidance to county officials on maintenance plans, appraisal and assessment, methodology, mapping, data collection, property transfers, and sales analysis. At this level, employees apply acquired professional and technical knowledge to undertake analysis and interpretation of real estate and property information and data. Employees may use multiple data sources or references in making evaluations or researching information. Minimal supervision is required.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Ability to make accurate and advanced mathematical calculations.

Typical qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
