This is a professional human resources position which performs work in a designated program area under the direction of a supervisor or senior human resources professional. Under guidance, employees provide advice to agency human resources staff and assist in preparing training. Position incumbents conduct analysis of external practices, and provide results to a supervisor. Employees work on project teams both within designated areas and other human resources areas toward the end of enhancing statewide human resources programs. Responsibilities may include overseeing vocational positions performing duties related to employee classification, training and development, recruitment, and continuous improvement. Employee supervision may include making hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignment, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of Missouri government organizational structure and occupations common to State agencies. Knowledge of Uniform Classification and Pay (UCP) system policies and procedures, state personnel law, and departmental operating requirements. Ability to understand functional design and administration of designated program areas. Ability to train and provide direction to staff.
Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
