This is a supervisory position accountable for supervising the work of professional-level auditors and other fiscal professionals. At this level, employees participate in the work of the highest professional level auditor and lead an audit team or multiple teams. Auditor Supervisors are responsible for reviewing and ensuring compliance and quality of the team’s work and has input into setting a budget. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.
In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective supervision and training. Skill in adapting to new and changing situations and regulations. Ability to manage multiple auditing projects, and oversee staff engaged in auditing activities.
Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
