Land Survey Supervisor

General summary

This is the first level of supervision providing administrative and technical leadership to a team of professional and/or vocational individual contributor surveying staff. Serves as a technical resource. The focus of this position is on supervision, resource management, and accountability for the results of the team’s work outcomes. Ensures integration with other teams and ensures work is conducted in accordance with overall management objectives. Plans and directs work, and reviews and reports on progress and outcomes of work. May also perform surveying work at a high professional level and serve as project manager when designated for that role.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

In addition to those identified in the previous levels: Knowledge of project management. Skill in providing technical guidance and direction to staff. Ability to manage staff resources.

Typical qualifications

Licensed as a Land Surveyor and 2-6 years of progressive relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
