This is a licensed paraprofessional position accountable for helping patients/residents develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. Directly involved in providing therapy to patients through the use of adaptive devices and equipment, and contributing to therapy plans through recommendation and documentation. Performs billing, ordering and stocking supplies, and other clerical duties. Maintains adaptive equipment and patient documentation.
Knowledge of current physical therapy modalities and treatment techniques and of human anatomy and physiology. Ability to observe and record patients’/residents’ progress towards treatment goals and tolerance of treatment activities.
Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
