General summary
This is a licensed position accountable for implementing therapy plans through hands-on use of adaptive devices, and contributing to therapy plans through recommendation and documentation. Performs billing, ordering and stocking supplies, and other clerical duties. Maintains adaptive equipment and patient documentation.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
Knowledge of the general principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in occupational therapy. Knowledge of kinesiology, human anatomy, and physiology as related to the practice of occupational therapy. Ability to observe, recognize, and report significant changes in patient behavior.
Typical qualifications
Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
